Chris D’Adamo, Ph.D

Dr. Chris D’Adamo is a nutritional research scientist with expertise in nutritional supplements and natural products. He received his Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Maryland School of Medicine and is currently an Assistant Professor with dual appointments in the Department of Family & Community Medicine and the Department of Epidemiology & Public Health.

Dr. D’Adamo serves as the Director of Research at the Center for Integrative Medicine and holds faculty positions in the Gerontology Doctoral Program of the University of Maryland and at Maryland University of Integrative Health, where he was involved in creating the Nutrition and Integrative Health graduate program.

Dr. D’Adamo has served as Principal Investigator on a wide variety of clinical research studies and has published his findings in numerous peer-reviewed scientific and medical journals including Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Nutrition Research, Nutrients, Journal of Nutrigenetics and Nutrigenomics, Journal of Nutrition, Aging, and Health, Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, American Journal of Health Promotion, and American Journal of Preventive Medicine. His work has also been featured in Men’s Health, Prevention Magazine, SHAPE Magazine, Natural Health, Food Network, Dr. Oz, AARP, New York Magazine, PBS, USA Today, WebMD, and many other popular media outlets.

Alongside leading a robust research portfolio, Dr. D’Adamo has provided evidence-based education on nutritional supplements and natural products to medical students, healthcare professionals, and the general public in a wide variety of capacities. His teaching formats have included medical curriculum, scientific conference presentations, and invited lectures that have provided cutting-edge medical nutrition education to many thousands of attendees across the world.
